After a long career as a languages teacher, Jaqui did a two year course in stained glass inspired by the gorgeous colours of modern glass installations in London and elsewhere, especially those of Marc Chagall and Brian Clarke. Her love of colour, texture and form led he increasingly towards mosaics for the home, in particular mirrors and bowls.

Jaqui then found she could play with colour equally well with wool and embarked on several felt making courses, including one at the CityLit. 3D felt making has inspired her to produce several quirky hand felted vases, which satisfies her love of both felt and glass.

She has also re-discovered crochet and enjoys using wool dyed by indie dyers to make unique accessories such as shawls, scarves and wristwarmers.
