Yarns from the Plain

ABOUT NIC…

Once upon a time there was a little girl who loved to make things. As she grew up, she tried all sorts of different crafts, until she finally discovered that knitting with wool was very different to knitting with the squeaky stuff she had used as a child. Knitting led to spinning, spinning led to weaving and then dyeing and suddenly woolly things had taken over her life. Along the way she realised that her husband needed to have a break from listening to all the woolly nattering, so a podcast was born. Little did she realise, all those years ago, where her crafting obsessions would take her…

Yarns From The Plain:  a shop, podcast, blog and one-woman whirlwind! It's a place to buy British yarns and fibres, hand dyed in Nic's kitchen in the heart of Cheshire, as well as a podcast for yarnlovers. The blog serves as an update point and a place to sound off when she needs more than 140 characters!

Yarnistry

Emma, a lover of yarn and also a chemist (hence the name!). Yarnistry was born a year ago, by accident almost. Emma is always buying things to help her when knitting and to try and make life a bit easier, but somehow she misses bits in patterns, such as decreases or increases, and hadn't found anything that could help. Emma came up with the idea of instructional stitch markers. Yarnistry was born!! Hopefully you'll find the stitch markers as helpful as she does. Emma llaser cut each one, and then finishes them and adds either a split ring, or a bulb pin to them.
