Town End Yarns

We produce alpaca-based luxury knitting yarns which are all spun for us in the UK. We use British alpaca fleece were possible, grading and blending the fibres here on the farm. We have four main ranges

Pure Natural Alpaca - this is the finest, softest British alpaca, in its natural colours, carefully sorted at Town End.

Morecambe - Blue Faced Leicester wool is collected from farms around Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales and blended with British Alpaca. It's spun in Yorkshire and dyed in Scotland to produce a soft, straight-forward DK yarn.

Whitbarrow & Thames - a unique blend of alpaca, organic Falklands Merino and Mulberry silk in Fingering and DK weights. The fingering yarn is dyed in 40 beautiful shades and is ideal for shawls and lighweight tops.

Alpaca with Shetland - a woolly blend of alpaca with local Shetland wool. The wool nepps are hand dyed and added as the fibre is carded to give a tweedy-effect yarn.

Our yarns are supported with simple patterns by Town End yarns for accessories and carefully selected designer patterns.
