Idas House is an independently run yarn store in Caterham on the Hill. supporting British yarn companies large and tiny. They showcase up and coming designers so you have everything you need to create modern and wearable designs that will last you for years!!

We love to take Ida's House on the road to great knitting events. We have a fabulous range Notions for Knitters! Yarn swifts, Lykke needles, adorable scissors and handmade stitch markers from Katrinkles in the USA!
We will bring our Shawl Kits designed by the talented Sarah Goodwin Designs featuring Isager and Bilum hand dyed Yarns.

They also have all the needles and notions you could need to start and finish projects plus a curated selection of tools from far flung corners of the globe.

My grandparents James and Ida Hewston ran a Haberdashery shop in Redditch for over 20 years, it was the hub of the community. I adored the oak drawers that lined the walls and yellow cellophane blinds that protected the stock in the window! I opened Ida’s House in March 2017: We sell yarn, knitting and crochet accessories, and some haberdashery items, but we have become the centre of the knitting and crochet community through twice weekly social nights, one-on-one teaching and classes for knitters and crocheters of all levels.
